Checkout & new subscriptions
Turn a Deal into a paying subscription — or create one directly from a Contact — without leaving HubSpot.
Generate a checkout link from a Deal
On a rep-originated Deal with no subscription yet, the Stripe Subscription card shows Generate checkout link.
- Add line items to the Deal (HubSpot products, as usual).
- Click Generate checkout link. Stripe Sync builds a Stripe Checkout session from the Deal's line items — each line item's HubSpot Product must be mapped to a Stripe Price (see Product catalog mapping).
- Copy checkout link and send it to the customer. The link is stored server-side with its expiry shown (24 hours) and survives card refreshes — copy it again any time.
- When the customer pays, Stripe Sync links the resulting subscription back to this Deal and records the booking.
Notes:
- At least one line item must map to a recurring Stripe Price — checkout builds a subscription, not a one-off charge.
- Unmapped products block generation: map them from the dashboard's Products view first.
- Money never touches AmpDeck — the session lives in your Stripe account; funds, fees and payouts stay between you and Stripe.
New subscription from a Contact card
On a Contact with a Stripe customer, New subscription opens a catalog of your active recurring prices:
- Select items and quantities.
- Customer has a saved payment method → the subscription is created immediately, off-session. Done.
- No payment method → Stripe Sync falls back to a Checkout link you send the customer, exactly like the Deal flow above.
The new subscription appears on the card, on the timeline, and (for the Deal flow) linked to its Deal.
Troubleshooting
- "Unmapped product" on generate? The Deal has line items whose HubSpot Product isn't linked to a Stripe Price — clear the pending queue in the dashboard's Products view, then regenerate.
- Customer paid but the Deal didn't update? Webhook delivery can lag a few minutes; over an hour, contact support.
- Link expired? Links last 24 hours by default — generate a fresh one; the old one simply stops working.
